The Olympic Torch has been made and is ready to make it's run down our street this evening to light our very own Olympic Flame. In the past we have just fun with a butane lighter, but this seems to be more fun. And as we go to light it, we will hide a lighter underneath this cool looking torch to light our flame and then the games can officially begin.
Now this literally took 5 minutes to make. I did it while I was working at the Hospital in between patients so pardon the background of these pictures.
Take a piece of cardstock paper or a part of a posterboard (which is what I used) and roll it up into the shape of a cone and tape it so it is secure.
Then just start stuffing tissue paper in it until you are satisfied with the way the "flame" looks.
That's it!
Doesn't get much easier than that. And now you have a essential part to your own Olympic opening ceremonies.
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!
